Haritakis Papaioannou (Center of Biological & Cultural Diversity)
Haritakis (Biologist, MSc in Conservation Biology, Ph.D. student) has been involved in nature conservation and wildlife management for nearly 20 years, as a field researcher in projects for bear, Balkan chamois, amphibians, raptors, flora and Natura habitats. His expertise lies mainly in Balkan chamois ecology and biogeography. Haritakis has been an active member of several NGOs, and leads one for chamois conservation. Originated from Papingo, he has also an excellent knowledge of nature and local culture in N. Pindos mountain range. He collaborates presently with the Developmental Society of the Prefecture of Ioannina in the field of rural development, culture maintenance and ecotourism. He has authored two books and several scientific publications.

Giorgos Yfantis (Centre of Biological and Cultural Diversity)
Giorgos is biologist (MSc in Ecological Management) and has been particularly interested and involved in nature conservation. He has taken part as researcher in projects of biological assessment of running waters quality based on macroinvertebrates. He has also been involved in public awareness campaigns and surveys for bird conservation, in bear and Balkan chamois projects as field researcher and has worked as environmental consultant. He is an active member of environmental NGOs and is currently working in the Environmental Education Centre in Thessaloniki.

Maria Noidou (WWF Greece, Island Wetlands Project)
Maria is forester (MSc in Ecological Management) and has been particularly interested and involved in nature conservation. She has taken part as researcher in projects of birds and wetland management. She is one of the few greek bird ringers and take part in the Hellenic Bird Ringing Center activities (mainly passerines ringing). She has also been involved in public awareness campaigns and environmental education projects. She is an active member of environmental NGOs and is currently working in WWF Greece, island wetlands project as public participation coordinator.
