Who can apply?_old

The SCB-Europe welcomes all undergraduate and postgraduate students in Europe as well as young scientists having accomplished their studies in disciplines relevant to Environmental Sciences (e.g. Biology, Environment, Zoology, Geography etc) but also from Social and Economic Sciences, given the multidisciplinary character of Conservation Biology.

A number of 15-18 students from different countries will be selected on a competitive basis. The Organizing Committee wishes the international character of the Greek Summer School, well-representing European countries (Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey included).

Students will participate under their own responsibility and private health insurance. Students with health problems (epilepsy, heart problems, dangerous allergies etc) are requested to consider seriously their physical ability to participate in the mountaineering field session before applying.

* We are sorry to inform interested students from other continents such as Africa or Asia not to apply.

  •     09 January 2012: Registration opens

  •     15 April 2012: Announcement of participants
  •     24 June 2012: Arrival in Ioannina
